Toronto shooting: two dead and four injured at Salsa on St Clair street festival

The Guardian reports that a shooting near a Toronto street festival on Saturday evening left two men dead and four other people wounded. Police say the gunfire that triggered an initial active-shooter warning was an exchange between two people targeting each other, and investigators later recovered two firearms. The shooting was reported around 8:12 p.m. near St. Clair Avenue West, where the Salsa on St. Clair festival was underway. The city's mayor called it an irresponsible act of violence at an event attended by families.
