Live: US launches new strikes as Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz

France 24 reports that the US military has launched fresh strikes on Iran after Iran set a container ship ablaze on Sunday. In response, Tehran has closed the Strait of Hormuz, the narrow waterway through which a large share of the world's oil shipments pass, and stepped up attacks on US facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates.
