The Guardian reports that US Senator Lindsey Graham, a key ally of Donald Trump, has died after a sudden illness. His office announced the death in the early hours of Sunday. Graham had just turned seventy-one. The South Carolina Republican had served in the Senate since two thousand three, and was known for becoming one of Trump's most loyal backers after once being a sharp critic.
