UK couple found burned and semi-conscious in Almería amid Spanish wildfires

A British couple on holiday in Spain have been found badly burned and semi-conscious in a ravine in Almería province, where deadly wildfires are still raging. The Guardian reports the pair were thought to be out hiking when the flames caught up with them, and were airlifted to hospital in a two-hour rescue operation after the Guardia Civil searched the area for survivors. The fires have so far claimed twelve lives and burned more than six thousand hectares, with at least twenty-three people still missing.
