Reform would have kept just a fraction of £26.7m donations haul under a £100,000 cap, analysis shows

politics

Reform UK's fundraising model faces fresh scrutiny. Per Friends of the Earth analysis shared with the Guardian, the party would have retained just fifteen percent of its twenty-six point seven million pounds in donations last year if a proposed one hundred thousand pound cap had taken effect. The pattern: Reform's average registered donation was over one hundred thirty-seven thousand pounds—nearly six times higher than the average for Labour or the Conservatives. The analysis, using Electoral Commission data, highlights the party's reliance on a small number of wealthy backers ahead of a coming debate over political funding rules.
