Homes evacuated as firefighters tackle railway embankment blaze in east London

Residents were evacuated from their homes in Walthamstow, east London, after a fire broke out on a railway embankment. The Guardian reports that around one hundred twenty-five firefighters and twenty fire engines were dispatched to the scene near Vallentin Road, where the blaze affected one house and multiple gardens and sheds.
