Swedish MEP files police complaint accusing Danish colleague of racist hate speech

A Swedish member of the European Parliament has filed a police complaint accusing a Danish colleague of racist hate speech, The Guardian reports. The complaint relates to Al-Sahlani's public condemnation of far-right, anti-immigration chants of 'send them back' that erupted in the parliament following a vote aimed at increasing deportations across the EU. After speaking out against those chants, Al-Sahlani faced harassment on social media, which prompted her to file the complaint with Swedish authorities.
