Trump wants US to take over Strait of Hormuz and be reimbursed for control

Per ABC News (Australia), Trump is proposing that the United States assume control of the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for compensation. Iran's Revolutionary Guards responded that regular shipping traffic could only resume if the United States ended its military interventions in the waterway.
