US state attorneys general file lawsuit in effort to block Paramount merger

State attorneys general from both parties have filed suit, per The Guardian, to block the one-hundred-ten-billion-dollar merger between Paramount Skydance and Warner Bros Discovery. Led by California's Rob Bonta, the bipartisan coalition argues the combination would reduce competition, raise prices for consumers, and trigger significant job losses. The deal emerged in February following a bidding war involving Netflix.
