Trump reimposes US blockade and demands 20% Hormuz shipping fee

Euronews reports that President Trump has declared the United States will impose a twenty percent fee on all cargo passing through the Strait of Hormuz, casting Washington as what he called the "Guardian of the Strait" and turning Iran's own toll demands back against it. The announcement came alongside a sharp military escalation, as US forces struck dozens of targets inside Iran and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps hit Bahrain, Jordan, Kuwait and Oman. Euronews describes it as the largest exchange since the ceasefire reached in April.
