Judge sanctions Trump's lawyers for IRS settlement, anti-weaponization fund

Per Axios, a federal judge has sanctioned President Trump's lawyers, ruling that their lawsuit was improperly used as a means to justify a settlement granting Trump audit immunity and creating a one point seven seven six billion dollar fund. Judge Kathleen Williams blocked one attorney from practicing in federal court for a year and sent the case to three bar associations for potential discipline. The fund was abandoned in June under bipartisan pressure, but Trump's audit immunity remains.
