Paramount Skydance responded sharply to a lawsuit from twelve Democratic state attorneys general seeking to block the takeover of Warner Bros. Discovery. Per Variety, Paramount dismissed the case as distorting established antitrust law and misrepresenting today's entertainment competition. The company also argued that blocking the deal would shield Netflix and technology companies from much-needed competitive pressure—casting the merger as pro-competition rather than anti-competitive.
