Michigan health officials have identified lettuce and salad greens as a potential source of a cyclosporiasis outbreak affecting thousands in the state, per the Guardian. The parasitic infection causes watery diarrhea, loss of appetite, and weight loss. Officials cautioned that the investigation is still ongoing and while early results point to these greens, other food sources haven't been ruled out.
