EU pushes to triple energy storage as renewable power goes to waste

The European Union is moving aggressively on energy storage. Euronews reports that EU energy ministers signed the bloc's first-ever tripartite agreement on June twenty-sixth to boost storage capacity. The target is two hundred gigawatts by twenty thirty—more than triple the current fifty-five gigawatts. Twenty-two member states have committed to adding thirty to thirty-five gigawatts of new capacity by twenty twenty-eight.
