Two House races in Maryland suburbs are shattering campaign spending records. According to Axios, super PACs and interest groups have spent over twelve point five million dollars in the race to replace retiring House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer—more than all the Democratic candidates spent combined. State Delegate Adrian Boafo is the main beneficiary of this outside support, while other candidates like former Capitol Police officer Harry Dunn say they cannot compete. The irony: even candidates being helped by all that money are questioning whether it's gone too far.
