EU, UK sign Gibraltar status treaty easing border checks

As France 24 tells it, the EU and Britain on Tuesday signed a treaty ending border checks between Gibraltar and Spain. Gibraltar residents can now cross using residence cards, while Spanish citizens can use government ID cards. The agreement comes six years after Britain's departure from the bloc.
