Cyclospora outbreaks causing diarrhea in US expected to continue through August

A cyclospora parasite outbreak is spreading across the US, with one thousand six hundred forty-five confirmed cases and five thousand one hundred additional cases under investigation, as The Guardian tells it. The CDC expects the illness to continue circulating through August while they search the food supply chain for the source—lettuce is among the suspected culprits. So far, one hundred forty-five people have been hospitalized with the infection, which causes watery diarrhea.
