Supreme court justices request $14.6m increase in security amid rise in threats

The Guardian reports that two Supreme Court justices testified before House lawmakers requesting a fourteen point six million dollar increase to their security budget. Justices Elena Kagan and Amy Coney Barrett said they're facing a sharp rise in threats that's increasingly affecting their personal and family lives. It's the first time a sitting justice has testified on Capitol Hill since twenty nineteen.
