The UAE has made a massive bet on AI—billions invested in infrastructure and research, and the world's first AI minister appointed back in twenty seventeen—reflecting deep commitment to diversify beyond oil. That strategy just got a boost: the Trump administration is expanding the UAE's access to advanced AI chips. By twenty thirty, consultancy PwC projects AI could contribute eleven percent of the UAE's GDP, adding three hundred twenty billion dollars to the Middle East economy. The UAE's national strategy aims to establish the country as an AI destination by twenty thirty-one, attracting global talent to experiment and build AI solutions.
