Melbourne council votes to scrap Lime ebikes for failing to meet ‘bare minimum standards’

Melbourne's Yarra council has voted to end Lime's bike-share presence. The City of Yarra terminated its agreement with Australia's largest electric bike operator after nearly six years. The Guardian reports the council cited Lime's failure to meet bare minimum standards—particularly around dumping and misuse of the bikes. Electric bikes will now disappear from inner-city Melbourne streets.
