U.K. Government Proposes Social Media Curfew for Older Teens Alongside Under-16 Ban

The UK government is proposing new restrictions on teenage social media use, Variety reports. For sixteen and seventeen-year-olds, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube would become inaccessible between midnight and six in the morning by default, with the ability to override those blocks if they choose. This measure comes as the government also moves to enforce a broader ban on social media access for anyone under sixteen.
