Bank of England governor would have put off Farage meeting had £5m gift been under investigation

Per the Guardian, Bank of England governor Andrew Bailey says he would have postponed a September meeting with Nigel Farage if the five million pound donation to the Reform UK leader had been under investigation at the time. Bailey met with Farage to discuss cryptocurrency regulation, but Christopher Harborne's gift wasn't publicly revealed until April. Bailey says he does not regret the meeting.
