Firefighters continue to battle 'contained' Fontainebleau fire near Paris

Hundreds of French firefighters have contained two blazes that tore through more than two thousand hectares of the historic Fontainebleau forest near Paris over the past two days. France 24 reports that while the fires are now contained, the local prefect cautioned they are not yet extinguished, and crews will need to stay on the scene for days, if not weeks.
