The House of Representatives recently passed the KIDS Act, legislation aimed at controlling what people can see and say online. Supporters say it's needed to protect children, but according to the Electronic Frontier Foundation, the bill would actually expand surveillance instead of protecting privacy. EFF warns that if the KIDS Act becomes law, it could undermine open internet access and the ability to remain anonymous online.
