Search continues for three people missing after Alcatraz boat disaster

The search continues for three people still missing after a boat capsized in the cold, fast-moving waters of San Francisco Bay near Alcatraz Island. The Guardian reports that the vessel was carrying twenty family members and friends during a memorial service when it went over on Wednesday, and that one person and one dog died. Coast Guard captain Jared Toczko said rescuers have scoured roughly nine hundred fifty square nautical miles and would keep searching until sundown before ending rescue efforts.
