Texas Tech chair donated $275K to Ken Paxton day before AG intervened in Brendan Sorsby saga

Cody Campbell, a major Texas Tech booster and GOP megadonor, donated two hundred seventy-five thousand dollars to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton the day before the AG's office intervened in Brendan Sorsby's betting scandal, the Texas Tribune reports. Campbell has publicly defended Sorsby's right to continue playing.
