US says latest attack wave on Iran completed – as it happened

US strikes hit Iran's southern port city of Bushehr for a second straight day, targeting the area that houses the country's only civilian nuclear plant. The Guardian reports that, according to Iran's state news agency IRNA citing a local official, three points in Bushehr were struck, and the governor said the recent attacks on the south of the country have killed more than thirty civilians. The US said its latest wave of attacks had been completed. Iranian officials framed the southern region as the heart of the nation and vowed the government would stand by the bereaved families.
