Volodymyr Zelenskyy dismisses Ukraine’s defence minister on eve of Starmer visit

Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has dismissed Defence Minister Mykhailo Fedorov in a government reshuffle, despite pleas from foreign partners and civil society to retain him. Fedorov had served just six months but was widely credited with transforming the defence ministry and reducing corruption. According to The Guardian, he announced his departure via Telegram, calling it a "great honour" to have served Ukraine.
