Chat Control is 'treating everyone as a suspect', says expert

EDRi policy adviser Simeon de Brouwer warns that the proposed EU Chat Control law risks treating all users as suspects while attempting to combat online child sexual abuse. De Brouwer says the legislation could enable mass surveillance and undermine privacy for everyone. He's calling instead for proportionality and a more targeted scanning approach.
