Ocado chief says he won’t be a ‘puppet master’ amid apparent succession row

Per The Guardian, Ocado's co-founder and chief executive Tim Steiner says he won't become a "puppet master" over the company—a statement amid apparent boardroom tensions over his succession. Steiner is stepping down as CEO in 2028, and he's suggested any incoming successor would welcome working with him. The comments come as Ocado shares have fallen fifteen percent on news that the online grocer's pre-tax profits plunged to seventeen million pounds.
