Vance enters the media lion's den

Vice President Vance is making the rounds on hostile media terrain, taking interviews that other Trump administration figures typically avoid. Per Axios, Vance's nearly three-hour appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast on Wednesday covered Iran policy and the Epstein files — two topics where Rogan has recently broken with the White House. He's also sparred on 'The View,' 'Real Time,' and Megyn Kelly's show. The strategy has worked before: Vance's willingness to take tough interviews impressed Trump during the twenty twenty-four veepstakes, and the president has privately told advisers he loves these recent media appearances. One wrinkle: Tucker Carlson, though friendly with Vance, appears to be sitting this one out after his relationship with Trump soured over Iran.
