France 24 reports the United States is imposing twenty-five percent tariffs on certain Brazilian goods starting July twenty-second, following a yearlong investigation under the Trade Act of nineteen seventy-four. Investigators concluded Brazil engaged in unfair trade practices. Brazilian President Lula condemned the move, saying it's politically motivated to benefit his rival Flavio Bolsonaro in upcoming elections.
