The Bay Area Now Takes 51% of Every AI Venture Dollar. And 53% of Every B2B Dollar.

SaaStr, citing Carta's latest startup ecosystem data, reports that the Bay Area is now capturing more than half of every venture dollar flowing into AI startups—and more than half of every B2B venture dollar across the nation. The concentration has actually intensified rather than loosened: the Bay Area pulled in fifty-one point three billion dollars, roughly forty-one percent of all startup capital invested, while New York, in second place, took just eighteen percent. Stack the Bay Area and New York together and they're commanding roughly seventy-two percent of every B2B venture dollar in the country—a concentration that reflects where the specialized talent has remained clustered.
