Dozens found guilty in Genoa's deadly bridge collapse
world
An Italian court has found thirty-two defendants guilty over the deadly Genoa bridge collapse, France 24 reports. Forty-three people died when their vehicles plunged from the flyover in the port city. On the morning of August fourteenth, 2018, during a summer storm, a two hundred metre section of the bridge gave way, sending dozens of vehicles crashing down onto warehouses and a riverbed below. The verdict, handed down Thursday, closes one chapter in a disaster that has haunted Genoa for years.
