Middle East war rekindles as US and Iran resume strike exchange

world

The conflict between the United States and Iran flared again this week, with the two sides trading strikes for a sixth straight day on Thursday, France 24 reports. The fighting has centered on the Strait of Hormuz, a critical shipping channel for the world's oil, as Washington enforced a blockade of Iranian ports. According to France 24, the renewed exchange comes just a month after a preliminary deal meant to end the conflict was signed, and despite mediator Pakistan urging both sides back to talks. Iran's government says the latest American attacks have killed at least thirty people since last week.
