'Zero tolerance' for forest arsonists, Macron promises firefighters

French President Macron visited Fontainebleau Forest, on the outskirts of Paris, after devastating wildfires scorched at least ten percent of the forest's twenty thousand hectares. France 24 reports Macron has pledged zero tolerance for forest arsonists and committed to replanting the historic forest, though he cautioned that fully extinguishing the fires will take several more weeks. Several arrests have already been made, including a volunteer firefighter who is now under formal investigation.
