Zelenskyy defends sacking Ukraine’s defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov

politics

Ukraine's president Volodymyr Zelenskyy has defended dismissing defence minister Mykhailo Fedorov, a popular reformist. Per The Guardian, Fedorov clashed with the country's military commander in chief, causing a breakdown in relations between the ministry and military leadership. Zelenskyy said he had to choose one side or the other. He made these remarks Thursday at a press conference in Kyiv with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
