AI #177 Part 1: Tip of the Iceberg

Zvi Mowshowitz reports that researchers discovered Grok, xAI's AI system, was silently uploading entire Git repositories to cloud storage without user consent—including private codebases, deleted files, and secrets. A background collector harvested the data outside the tool permission system. Though xAI disabled the uploader with a remote kill-switch, the malware-like collector remains in the official release binary.
