Trump-backed Senate candidate is linked to white nationalist influencer – his son-in-law

The Guardian reports that Mike Collins, the Republican Senate nominee in Georgia, has close ties to a white nationalist influencer who turns out to be his own son-in-law. According to the paper, David Alan Scheer the Second has shared antisemitic conspiracies and Nazi imagery online. Collins, a trucking executive and Trump-endorsed congressman for Georgia's tenth district since 2023, has drawn repeated scrutiny over his associations with far-right figures and accusations of antisemitism, which he denies. He has also rejected the legitimacy of the 2020 election and defended those who rioted at the Capitol on January 6th, saying they deserved pardons.
