Days after EU sanctions, Russian social network VK agrees to sell its RuStore app store to the head of the company that developed it

Russian social network VK has agreed to divest its RuStore app store, selling it to Dmitry Pankrushev, the chief executive of the company that developed it. Pankrushev heads Many Apps, Meduza reports, the firm VK originally hired to build the platform. The sale follows by days the European Union's decision on July thirteenth to add VK to its sanctions list. In a statement, VK said the RuStore team would continue rolling out updates and guaranteeing stable operation for users and developers.
