Russia’s state gas giant Gazprom drops 5% to an all-time low on the Moscow Exchange

business

Meduza reports that Gazprom shares dropped five percent to hit an all-time low of eighty-three point ninety-eight rubles on Russia's Moscow Exchange on Thursday, dipping below the previous record low set back in twenty oh eight. The stock partially recovered but remained near lows as trading continued. The Wall Street Journal reports the slide follows stalled negotiations between Russia and China over the Power of Siberia two gas pipeline — China has said it will only participate if Russia agrees to supply gas at domestic market prices, effectively asking Russia to foot the bill.
