White House teleprompter operator put on leave over alleged bets on Trump speeches

Donald Trump's teleprompter operator has been placed on administrative leave, The Guardian reports, after allegedly using his position to win one hundred thousand dollars betting on the president's speeches using the prediction market Kalshi. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the president was informed and described the situation as deeply unfortunate and frankly a disgrace.
