Christopher Nolan's 'The Odyssey' opens this weekend—an adaptation of Homer's epic and the first feature ever shot entirely on IMAX film cameras. But despite this technical achievement, IMAX 70mm screens remain sparse across theaters. According to Variety, the company says expanding these installations simply isn't practical. So while Nolan captured his vision in this rare format, most audiences will likely experience it on a standard screen instead.
