Banks and building societies are easing affordability rules and bringing back one-hundred-percent mortgages for first-time buyers. The Guardian reports that Metro Bank and other major lenders are now offering these deals, which require zero deposit and cover the full property price. These products were once fairly commonplace but were phased out after the 2008 financial crisis.
