Russia hits Odesa with missiles and 130 drones overnight, killing two — its second deadly strike on the city in three days

world

Russia struck the Ukrainian port city of Odesa with missiles overnight on July 17, killing two people, Meduza reports, citing the head of the city's military administration. Six others were wounded, including three children, and eleven residential buildings were damaged, along with a religious institution, a preschool, and other civilian infrastructure. Ukraine's Air Force said Russian forces launched eight missiles and one hundred thirty drones overnight, most of which were shot down, while Moscow's Defense Ministry claimed it was targeting ports used to supply the Ukrainian military. It was the second deadly strike on Odesa in three days, following an attack on July 14 that killed three people.
