Who are Russia's 3,000 African army recruits fighting in Ukraine?

France 24 reports that Russia is continuing to recruit Africans to fight on the front line in Ukraine. The Stop Russian Recruiters platform, which is linked to Ukraine's Ministry of Defence, has now identified nearly three thousand recruits, and around one in six has already been killed. According to France 24, the countries most affected include Cameroon, Ghana, Egypt and Kenya, with the network reaching deep into communities far from the war itself.
