International flights set to pay carbon costs under EU's carbon market review from 2029

The European Union is extending its carbon pricing system to international aviation, Euronews reports. Starting in twenty twenty-nine, airlines flying from within five thousand kilometers will be required to pay for their carbon emissions — except for carriers based in the United States and China.
