Andy Burnham has become the Labour party's new leader, France 24 reports, taking over from Keir Starmer as Britain's incoming prime minister. At a special Labour conference, Burnham vowed to usher in what he called 'an era of hope' for the UK. He's viewed as the party's best shot at reversing declining poll numbers and winning back voters who've shifted to Reform UK, with his official confirmation scheduled for July 20.
