Fifa flies Portugal’s World Cup team on plane used for ICE deportations
world
The Guardian reports that the aircraft that flew Portugal's men's soccer team to a World Cup match is the same jet used daily in the Trump administration's mass deportation campaign. Video shows the squad boarding a Global Crossing Airlines plane en route to Dallas on the fourth of July, ahead of their match against Spain, with the tail number clearly visible. Per The Guardian, flight records show that same Airbus flew removal-related flights both the day before and the day after carrying the athletes, and last year it brought dozens of Venezuelans to a Salvadoran mega-prison against a judge's orders.
