Mother of Henry Nowak’s murderer jailed for removing knife from scene

The Guardian reports that the mother of a convicted murderer has been jailed for three years for helping her son cover his tracks. Kiran Kaur, fifty-three, was sentenced at Southampton crown court for assisting an offender, having removed the knife from the scene where her son, Vickrum Digwa, fatally stabbed the student Henry Nowak. According to the Guardian, Digwa's false claims of racism against the man he killed had earlier triggered riots in Southampton.
